Baseball Game Preview: Camden Fairview Cardinals vs. De Queen Leopards

The Camden Fairview Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the De Queen Leopards at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Camden Fairview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Camden Fairview's last matchup with Magnolia could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Cardinals came up short against the Panthers, falling 13-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost six in a row.

Camden Fairview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dayson Connelly, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, De Queen has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.84 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 14-8 to Hugo.

Camden Fairview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for De Queen, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Camden Fairview couldn't quite get it done against De Queen in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-3. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
