Volleyball Game Preview: Edison Tigers vs. McLane Highlanders

The Edison Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the McLane Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McLane took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Edison, who comes in off a win.

Edison was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Sunnyside 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Edison got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, McLane didn't have quite enough to beat Madera on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McLane actually scored more points across those five sets (100-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 11-25, 25-20, 21-25, 15-9.

McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Edison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
