III Section IV recap September 24, 2013
Mingus's Dakota Hanks rumbled for the longest rushing play in III Section IV this season in his game against North last week. Hanks scampered for 81 yards on the play and finished with 141 on the day as his team topped the Mustangs.
Bradshaw Mountain was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from third to first in the league. The Bears vanquished Kingman 31-14 earlier in the week.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Flagstaff's Kyle Wilson and Dylan Mathews have proven to be a lethal combination. Wilson has thrown for 615 yards this season, while Mathews has 7 catches for 264 yards. Prescott's Kaine Bayze leads the league in rushing yards with 542.
A big matchup in III Section IV this week will be when Bradshaw Mountain takes on Mingus. Jared Woodruff's team is in first place, while Bob Young's team is in sixth place.
The Eagles and the Badgers played the closest game in the league this week, with the Eagles eventually emerging with a 18-16 victory.
