Preview: American Patriots vs. Miramar Patriots
American has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Miramar Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Thursday, American was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 24-18 to North Miami Beach.
Meanwhile, Miramar can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past South Broward 53-18 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Miramar.
Miramar relied on the efforts of Kael Alexander, who threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and Jordan Jones, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: North Miami Beach's victory pushed their record up to 4-6, while American's loss dropped theirs down to 6-4.
Things could have been worse for American, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 27-8 loss to Miramar in their previous matchup back in October. Can American avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
