Baseball Recap: Latta Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Latta had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Stroud on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Latta pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Stroud, their loss dropped their record down to 21-10.

Stroud has already played their next matchup, a 14-4 victory against Watonga on the 8th. Hopefully Latta paid attention to the Tigers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers on Friday.
