Volleyball Recap: The Classical Academy Extends Winning Streak to Five

The Classical Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mitchell Marauders. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Marauders, too.

The Classical Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Mitchell to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-9.

Ashlyn Delaney paced The Classical Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Delaney got some help from Maggie Johnson and her 25 assists. Miranda Campos controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Mitchell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, The Classical Academy will head out to square off against Cheyenne Mountain at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mitchell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas MacLaren School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
