Baseball Preview: Hidden Valley Titans vs. Salem Spartans        
        
		
            
 The Hidden Valley Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Salem Spartans at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Hidden Valley scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Tuesday. They came out on top against Pulaski County by a score of  9-5.
  Brendon Ross made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched four innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. Ross was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other pitching news,  Caleb Hagadorn looked comfortable as he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also only allowed one  walk).
 Ross wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Braxton Nichols, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Wyatt Clarke, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Salem can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent  match  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Blacksburg as Salem made off with  a  7-1 win. Winning may never get old, but Salem sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Hidden Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 4-0-1.
 Hidden Valley beat Salem 6-2  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023. Will Hidden Valley repeat their success,  or does  Salem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
