Softball Game Preview: Bedford Kicking Mules vs. Adrian Maples

The Bedford Kicking Mules are taking a road trip to take on the Adrian Maples at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bedford's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Adrian's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Bedford didn't have quite enough to beat Lincoln and fell 7-6. The Kicking Mules have struggled against the Railsplitters recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Lumen Christi Catholic hit Adrian with a seven-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Maples lost 12-2 to the Titans. The Maples have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 13-4-1. As for Adrian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Bedford took their victory against Adrian in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 20-1 score. Will the Kicking Mules repeat their success, or do the Maples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
