The Pope John Paul II Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 52-30 margin over St. Martin's Episcopal. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Pope John Paul II as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading Pope John Paul II to victory were Emmerson Alonso and Meredith Bourdais. Alonso scored 19 points, while Bourdais scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Babin, who scored six points.

Pope John Paul II's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.

Pope John Paul II will be home for the holidays to greet Benjamin Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on December 22nd. As for St. Martin's Episcopal, they will head out on the road to face off against Catholic of Pointe Coupee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
