Lake Travis and Del Valle are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lake Travis comes in on three and Del Valle on four.

Lake Travis proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 16) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Bowie.

Julianna Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kamdyn Ingram, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Del Valle hadn't done well against Bowie recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Cardinals came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 13-8. Del Valle's victory was all the more impressive since the Bulldogs were averaging only four runs allowed on the season.

Lake Travis' record now sits at 14-8-1. As for Del Valle, their record is now 12-4-1.

Lake Travis took their win against Del Valle when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
