Baseball Recap: Smithfield Wins High-Profile Game Against Portsmouth

Smithfield faced Portsmouth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Sentinels were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Patriots. Considering the Sentinels have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Sean Dwyer was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 1st. Another player making a difference was Jacob Sylvester, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
