Southwest Prairie recap November 13, 2013

Oswego took down Waubonsie Valley 33-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bryce Holm ran for 220 yards during the win.

Oswego East led Southwest Prairie in scoring this week by notching 40 points on Oswego East.

The Panthers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Steven Frank threw for 68 and 2 touchdowns and Trevor Matczak had 42 yards receiving. On the ground Holm contributed 220 yards. Tyler Walsh helped Oswego's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 10 yards.

Holm was a passing and rushing force as Oswego topped the Warriors. Holm's key target this week was Matczak, who caught 2 passes for 42 yards.

Holm was a force in the backfield as Brian Cooney's team bested Waubonsie Valley.

Matczak was the best receiver in the league this week as the Panthers beat Paul Murphy's team. Walsh helped Oswego's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 10 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Frank and Walsh, Oswego has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Frank is tops in the league in passing with 1,811 yards, while Walsh has rushed for 1,279 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Romeoville's Charles Hunter, with 923 yards on 45 catches.

So far this year, he has acheived 45 catches for 923 yards.

Going into this week's game against Marist, the Panthers' Frank needs 189 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.

Oswego made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 567 from 901. The improvement was the result of a 33-13 victory over the Warriors last week.
