Basketball Recap: Lakota East Takes a Loss

Lakota East has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Aiken Falcons at home by a 62-43 margin on Saturday.

Antwan Hinton had an outrageously good game for Aiken as he went 7 for 11 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. James Burnett was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points and seven boards.

Lakota East's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Aiken, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Lakota East will head out on the road to face off against Lakota West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Aiken, they will be playing at home against Archbishop McNicholas at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Aiken knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Archbishop McNicholas likes a good challenge.
