Flag Football Recap: Claxton Comes Up Short

Claxton was the 6-0 winner over Effingham County when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Rebels on Thursday, falling 29-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Effingham County had a senior duo take command as Ivyana Jenkins rushed for 68 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries and Jada Praylo gained 121 total yards and two touchdowns.

Claxton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Effingham County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Claxton will venture away from home to take on Appling County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Effingham County, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Savannah Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
