Baseball Recap: Mcdonogh 35 Starts Season with Win Against Mt. Hermon

McDonogh 35 had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets with a sharp 13-1 win.

Brandon Jackson made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Jackson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Jakam Glinn was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while going 1-for-2. Temajh Scott was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDonogh 35 will face off against Broadmoor at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Hermon, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Bogalusa at 5:00 p.m. on February 18th.
