Basketball Recap: Conway Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lee Academy

Conway Christian fought the good fight in their overtime game against Lee Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Lee Academy Cavaliers 53-47. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Lee Academy was led to victory by Karagan Melton and Sara Bell. Melton posted 17 points, while Bell earned eight points and 17 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ansley Nesbit, who had two points and 11 rebounds.

Conway Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Lee Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Conway Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Lee Academy, they will challenge Williamsburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
