Waterford dropped their record down to 6-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 7-2 to the Westosha Central Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 last Tuesday.

As for Westosha Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games.

For Westosha Central's part, Megan Lampos made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Lampos has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Haley Bies was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colbie LeQuesne, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
