Football Preview: Pender Patriots vs. Rosewood Eagles        
        
		
             The Pender Patriots will face off against the Rosewood Eagles at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Pender knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 31 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Rosewood likes a good challenge.
 Pender is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They blew past Chatham Central 76-14. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by 32  points or more this season.
 It was another big night for  Jeremiah Johnson, who rushed for 242 yards and six touchdowns on only ten carries. Johnson is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 106 every time he's  taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Austin Deal, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown.
 Pender was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 473  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 195  rushing yards in 11 consecutive  matchups.
 Pender didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over.  Demari Morgan led the group effort, picking up two of those  interceptions all by himself.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Rosewood). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Hobbton 48-21. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  32-7.
 Pender is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Rosewood, they now  have a winning record of 6-5.
 Pender took a serious blow against Rosewood  in their previous meeting  back in September of 2019, falling  53-0. Thankfully for Pender,  Dhimani Fenty (who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
