Soccer Recap: Garinger Plays Ranked Contest + How To Watch

Garinger faced Hoggard in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Neither the Wildcats nor the Vikings could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Garinger's first draw of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Renier Hernandez Diaz, which was the first he's scored this season.

With that draw, Garinger's record moves to 1-2-1. As for Hoggard, they moved theirs to 2-1-1.

Garinger wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Topsail on the 23rd. As for Hoggard, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 6-1 victory against Grimsley on the 23rd.
