Softball Recap: Wasatch Takes a Loss

Wasatch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 20-5 to the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-2 back in March.

Brylee Smith was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Wasatch's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Maple Mountain, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wasatch will challenge rival Salem Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maple Mountain is set to face off against their familiar foe Spanish Fork at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
