Basketball Recap: Hope Academy's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Hope Academy won the last time they faced Tavares and things went their way on Friday too. The Hope Academy Trojan Tigers came out on top against the Tavares Bulldogs by a score of 39-38 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Hope Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Domiya Foreman led the charge by putting up 11 points along with eight steals and six assists. Foreman is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Anai Braxton was another key player, going 5 for 12 en route to 12 points.

Hope Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Tavares, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Hope Academy has already played their next match (against Umatilla), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tavares is taking a road trip to square off against South Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
