Soccer Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater managed to keep up with Pecos until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Sweetwater Mustangs came up short against the Pecos Eagles, falling 5-1. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Sweetwater's goal came courtesy of Joel Vazquez, who's now up to three this season.

Sweetwater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Pecos, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Estacado the next time they take the pitch. Sweetwater will host Estacado at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pecos will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
