Baseball Recap: Green Level Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses at Home

While Green Level put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Carrboro. The Green Level Gators put the hurt on the Carrboro Jaguars with a sharp 10-0 win. With that victory, the Gators brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Carter Heron looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Green Level got a massive performance out of Henry Geiser, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Geiser a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Tommy Gingerich, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Green Level always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carrboro only posted an OBP of .118.

Green Level's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. As for Carrboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Green Level will face off against Panther Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Green Level is facing Panther Creek at the right time seeing as Panther Creek is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Carrboro, they will challenge Southern School of Energy and Sustainability at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
