Basketball Recap: United Christian Academy Comes Up Short

United Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Maywood Academy Nighthawks, falling 66-21.

Austin Perez was United Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted seven points. Joseph (Tre') Singley held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

United Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Maywood Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-4.

Looking ahead, United Christian Academy will square off against Bassett at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Maywood Academy, they will face off against Pioneer at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Nighthawks will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
