Basketball Recap: Lakeland Christian Academy Beats Granger Christian for Their Fourth Straight Win

Lakeland Christian Academy had won three straight games and Micah Martin did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars pulled ahead with a 48-47 photo finish over the Granger Christian Knights thanks in part to Martin, who posted 29 points. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Jashawn Zielasko, who earned eight points. Those eight points gave him a new career-high.

Lakeland Christian Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Granger Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars duke it out with the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granger Christian, they will face off against Community Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
