Basketball Recap: Kalama Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

If Morton/White Pass wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kalama, they should've done a better job of containing Gavin McBride. The Kalama Chinooks walked away with a 75-68 victory over the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves on Monday thanks in part to McBride, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Abel Koski was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played.

The win was the fourth in a row for Kalama, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Morton/White Pass, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Kalama wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 73-49 loss against Fort Vancouver on the 7th. As for Morton/White Pass, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 82-48 defeat against Napavine on the 3rd.
