Softball Recap: Mount Dora Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mount Dora entered their tilt with Vanguard on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Knights. That's two games straight that the Hurricanes have won by just one run.

ADDISON GANUS spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on RAYA VEDDER, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
