Baseball Recap: Manawa Comes Up Short

Manawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to the Shiocton Chiefs. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Manawa saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Rosin, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Manawa's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Shiocton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Shiocton will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Bowler at 3:00 p.m. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.6 runs per game on average), something the Chiefs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Manawa will be paying especially close attention to Shiocton's contest: after Shiocton faces off against Bowler, they'll take on Manawa again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
