Meanwhile, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to Kenyon-Wanamingo.

Blooming Prairie's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9. As for New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
