Football Recap: Hamilton Braves vs. Winters Warriors

Hamilton and Winters squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hamilton had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Winters Warriors 48-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.

Kayden Strong threw for 115 yards on ten of 26 attempts. Ilan Davis was his top target, making eight total tackles.

It was another big night for Gio Jimenez, who rushed for 111 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 74 receiving yards for Winters. Sebastian Rodriguez was another key back, rushing for 97 yards and a touchdown.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Winters, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Hamilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winters, they and East Nicolaus are set to duel on Saturday. East Nicolaus knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Winters likes a good challenge.
