Basketball Recap: Portland Adventist Academy Triumphs

While Portland Adventist Academy has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Saturday thanks to Dane Petersen. The Portland Adventist Academy Cougars claimed a resounding 65-26 victory over the Sheridan Spartans thanks in part to Petersen, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 26 points, to go along with seven boards and six assists. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Villa, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points, to go along with six rebounds and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023.

Portland Adventist Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Portland Adventist Academy will head out to challenge Scio at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sheridan, they will host Delphian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
