Baseball Recap: Kellogg Takes a Loss

Kellogg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Priest River Spartans. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Kellogg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Rose, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Those hits marked the first that Rose got this season.

Kellogg's record is now 1-8. As for Priest River, they moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

While Kellogg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
