Soccer Recap: Archbishop Chapelle's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Archbishop Chapelle can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy Swamp Owls. This was payback for the Chipmunks, who suffered a 4-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Darcy Garvey and Sophia Altamirano scored all three of Archbishop Chapelle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Archbishop Chapelle's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-14. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, they moved to 8-7-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Archbishop Chapelle will head out on the road to challenge Cabrini at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against McGehee at 5:00 p.m.
