Volleyball Recap: Axtell Wildcats vs. Loomis Wolves
Axtell lost against Loomis back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Axtell Wildcats fell just short of the Loomis Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Axtell actually scored more points across those three sets (69-63), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 26-24, 25-20.
Loomis can attribute much of their success to Addison Perry, who had 14 digs.
Axtell now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Loomis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] the next time they take the court. Axtell will head out to face Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Loomis will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
