On Wednesday Ashby Piatt struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The performance marked the most strikeouts Piatt has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than one earned run. For the year, he has an ERA of 1.13 over 31 innings pitched.
