Baseball Game Preview: North Boone Vikings vs. Rockford Christian Royal Lions

The North Boone Vikings will take on the Rockford Christian Royal Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Boone will be strutting in after a victory while Rockford Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, North Boone was able to grind out a solid win over Genoa-Kingston, taking the game 7-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Rockford Christian lost 14-7 to Dixon on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Royal Lions have lost by exactly seven runs.

North Boone's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rockford Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
