Soccer Recap: Honaker Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After failing to score in their last matchup, Honaker made sure to put some goals up on the board against Virginia High on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bearcats a 5-0 shutout. Julia Barton was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Honaker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-1 record this season. As for Virginia High, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Honaker wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Central Wise on the 5th. As for Virginia High, they will head out on the road to challenge Tazewell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Virginia High are facing Tazewell at the right time seeing as Tazewell are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
