Baseball Recap: Serrano Comes Up Short

Serrano was the 6-5 winner over Oak Hills when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Diamondbacks took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Friday.

Broden Langley made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season.

Serrano's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Oak Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Serrano will challenge Burroughs at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Burros have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Oak Hills, they will square off against Hesperia at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scorpions have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
