Basketball Recap: Stevensville Comes Up Short

Stevensville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hamilton Broncs 79-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Broncs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 82-39 back in January.

It was another big night for Canaan Magness, who made all 11 shots he took to post 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals for Hamilton. Magness' evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Jette, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points along with six boards and five assists.

Stevensville's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coincidentally, Stevensville and Hamilton will both be playing Beaverhead County the next time they take the court. Hamilton will head out to face Beaverhead County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Stevensville will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
