Recap: Hume-Fogg Blue Knights vs. Whites Creek Cobras
The Hume-Fogg Blue Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 37-30 to Whites Creek. Hume-Fogg lost against Whites Creek in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-34 score last time.
Whites Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Moriah Plattner, who scored ten points. Rickiya Rawlings was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Hume-Fogg's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Whites Creek, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hume-Fogg will face off against Hunters Lane at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hunters Lane comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Whites Creek will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stratford at 6:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
