Softball Preview: Beacon Bulldogs vs. Saugerties Sawyers
The Beacon Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Saugerties Sawyers at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

In other batting news, Meg Nicholson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aslyn Way, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Beacon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Saugerties, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Pine Plains with a sharp 7-0 win on Friday. The Sawyers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Stefanie Cogswell, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Emma Stafford was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
Beacon picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-11. As for Saugerties, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-8.
