The Classical Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Mitchell Marauders with a sharp 20-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Chase Rorabaugh made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Carter Patrick looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Zack Hale, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-3. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. David St Marie was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The Classical Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .821. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

The Classical Academy's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.2 runs over those games. As for Mitchell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Classical Academy will face off against Canon City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mitchell, they will head out to square off against Peyton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
