Basketball Recap: Trotwood-Madison Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ciara Thomas and Kamiah Williams

Trotwood-Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 59-42 fall against the Dunbar Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 50-36 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Trotwood-Madison's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kamiah Williams, who shot 60% from the field on her way to 14 points and eight boards, and Ciara Thomas, who posted 16 points. Thanks to that strong game, Williams now owns an excellent 53.8% field goal percentage.

Trotwood-Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Dunbar, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Trotwood-Madison will face off against Stivers School for the Arts at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunbar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-36 loss against St. Francis DeSales on the 6th.
