Soccer Game Preview: Cooper vs. Abilene

Cooper hasn't had much luck against Abilene recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cooper Cougars will challenge the Abilene Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Cooper's offense. They lost 4-0 to Wylie on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Abilene also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell 2-0 to Memorial on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Mavericks are ranked 64th).

This is the second loss in a row for Abilene and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Cooper, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-3.
