Softball Game Preview: Bluffton Bobcats vs. May River Sharks

The Bluffton Bobcats will challenge the May River Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bluffton duked it out with Colleton County on Friday. Bluffton lost 14-3 to Colleton County. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, May River had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Seahawks as they made off with a 20-1 win. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 12 runs or more this season.

Olivia Nagel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckayla Landry, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

May River was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in four consecutive contests.
