Volleyball Recap: Standing Bear Gets the Win

After losing to Elkhorn the last time they met, Standing Bear decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Grizzlies narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Antlers 2-1.

Standing Bear found their leader in sophomore Reese Pedersen, who had nine digs and two aces.

Standing Bear was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 5-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Standing Bear now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Elkhorn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Standing Bear didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bennington on the 11th. As for Elkhorn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Gretna East on the 11th.
