Softball Game Preview: Barron Golden Bears vs. Osceola Chieftains

Barron is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Osceola a nine-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Barron Golden Bears will be playing at home against the Osceola Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Barron fell victim to Hayward and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Hurricanes. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Golden Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Osceola also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Altoona on Tuesday, falling 16-0.

Barron now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Osceola, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Barron beat Osceola 8-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Golden Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chieftains turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
