Basketball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

Mendenhall played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Morton Panthers, falling 60-34. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost five in a row.

Mendenhall now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Morton, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season.

Mendenhall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morton, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Quitman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Quitman will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Morton surely won't give up without a fight.
