Basketball Game Preview: Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion vs. St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill is on a three-game streak of home losses, St. Thomas More Academy a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill lost to Wake Christian Academy at home by a 45-30 margin.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas More Academy came up short against Cary Academy two weeks ago and fell 31-23.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill will have to keep a close watch on Adella Dehring and Winnie Dehring, a pair of players who had a big impact on St. Thomas More Academy's prior game. Adella posted eight points in addition to seven boards and six steals, while Winnie put up nine points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Adella continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maire Kelly, who posted four points and three steals.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for St. Thomas More Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. Thomas More Academy in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 30-26 win.
