Basketball Recap: Templeton Falls Short of Justin Garza in the Playoffs

Templeton and Justin Garza squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Templeton had to settle for second. They came up short against the Justin Garza Guardians, falling 61-41. The Eagles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Josiah Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Justin Garza, going 9-for-13 to rack up 24 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in field goal percentage (69%). Another player making a difference was Payton Powell, who posted six points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.

Templeton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Justin Garza, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-7.
